Do Mane 'N Tail products that treat hot spots, work on dogs (i have a year old chihuahua)?

She has awful hot spots everywhere. I rarely see fleas on her though, and it happens only in summer, i've noticed. Will Medicated Spray from Mane 'N Tail work? Says that it treats hot spots. If it works, how often should i use it? Thanks.
